So no matter what materials you have chosen for your fence posts, they will end up being grey! And if you installed a fence with metal or concrete posts then it goes without saying that they are grey from day one.

Yep, but I can oil my posts to keep them looking new. Well you can however you’ll need to redo the oiling every 12-18 months and for a larger block this is certainly not an option. If you have a small block than this is feasible but most people give up on it after the first coat. The only alternative really is to paint the fence black because this will last about 5 years before you need to do it again.
